With reluctance I am selling my 1971 Volkswagen Beetle 1300 De Luxe which has been in the family since 1972. It has been little used over the years and has done only 39,301 miles. It remained in my father's garage for a number of years until I told him I would bring it back to "showroom" condition. This was done at a cost of £2,500 by specialists "Kool Kustoms" (details and photographs available). There is a wealth of paperwork that has been accumulated over the years, it has an MOT and is tax exempt. I believe this to be a really good example of this historic car. Price £5,750. Hi.

I have decided to sell my 1983 mk1 golf.
It’s a 5 door, non sunroof 1500cc GL fitted with a 5 speed manual gearbox.
I’m selling it to fund my Mk1 Caddy project which is a shame as mk1’s like this don’t come up often but I need to free up the cash to finish the Caddy.

This car really does have to be seen. It’s awesome.
Apart from the odd little stone chip (not noticeable unless looking hard) and scratch the paintwork is great and apart from a very very small spot on the boot (pic can be provided) there is no rust, even underneath (MOT station couldn’t believe how clean the underside is). Pics of common rust points can be supplied.

The drivers door had a paint blister and there was some surface rust on the rear arches (bottom rear bit) all of which have now been professionally rectified.
It has chrome window surrounds, rub strips, lower sill strips, and grill all of which are in good condition.

The interior is brown and cream and is pretty much immaculate. Tan carpets and matching doorcards, cream seats and brown dash and has a Wolfsburg steering wheel VDO dials and Blaupunkt stereo. All electrics work perfectly.

The engine has done 130k miles, starts on the button and runs brilliantly. It’s just been serviced and tuned (timing, carb etc). The auto choke sometimes plays up so sometimes when cold you need to keep the revs up for 30 seconds to a minute and then its fine. After that its spot on.
It’s also fitted with a top fill radiator. I’m the 4th owner from new and bought it from an elderly chap who had owned it for the last 11 years.

It has full stamped service history in the book up to 100k miles and absolutely loads of other receipts for parts both before and after that mileage.
I’ve just re MOTed the car so it has 12 months and it went straight through and did not fail on anything (has only done 2000 miles since the last one)
All tyres have lots of tread on them.

This really is a great little car and you won’t find one better short of spending thousands on one that has been stripped and restored.

Reluctantly for sale:
1979 VW Baywindow - Westfalia - campervan, 2000L, Left hand drive, German import (Helinki), orange with White (fibreglass discoloured) pop-up roof.

Very good underneath, not been restored or mucked about with, other than mechanical items replaced: Recon engine under 3000 miles old, new starter motor, new battery, well maintained by quality garage.

Has inside: Rock and roll double bed, wardrobe, 2 burner gas hob, sink with pumped water (new pump 2 years ago) 3 way Fridge (may get it to work but good as cool box), Sleep 2 more in double bunk in pop-up roof space, walk through cab, seats 3 passengers in rear with
seat belts, spare wheel on front.

Roof tilts front to back, original canvas to roof, minor repairs needed to canvas. Everything as far as I can tell and have known it to be is as original; curtains, checked upholstery, front seats slightly worn- unusual to see such an original camper van in such good condition. All interior is as original in very good condition.

No welding under to chassis, only 1 small patch to bodywork has been done all rest in good original condition. Bumper and wheel hubs tatty, some small patches of rust here and there but very minimal. 1 owner from new before me. Been kept in garage most of the time/over winter.

I have an old 1988 VW Passat for sale. I've had it since new in March 1988 and it has a full service history. It's just been serviced and passed it's MOT until Feb 2010. I use it on a daily basis around Winchester and she seems to have a reasonable amount of life left in her. It has done 95000 miles, an average of about 4500 miles each year. It was the last 4-cylinder Passat
estate sold by Winchester VW before the model change in 1988.

It's going for £400.
